CENTRE D'ART CONTEMPORAIN

Each year, the contemporary art centre of Pontmain programs three exhibitions and events, which follow the seasons.
> In spring two young artists (welcome in residence during the winter) expose.
> In summer a master (national or international artist) presents an exhibition.
> And in autumn, a collective and thematic exhibition is organized (thanks to the loan of gallery, artists and public collections).

Established in 1999, this contemporary art center opens in an unusual place: a little town, rural and furthermore a place of pilgrimage! The Virgin Mary is said to have appeared... in 1871 ! In this context, the art center welcomes really diverse public: neophytes and people passionate about contemporary art, holidaymakers and pilgrims, children and seniors…
Wishing to promote access to contemporary art, a guide is available for visitors to talk about the works. Also, a guide which presents the exhibition (in French and English) is available
