This house has retained all the features of a 19th-century farmhouse in Lorraine, with the three "bays" typical of a farmer's house: the dwelling, the stable and the barn.

Numerous elements recorded in a remarkable 210-page handwritten document, the TERRIER, drawn up at the time of the Rouhling land consolidation in 1708, confirm that the house was inhabited before the end of the 17th century.

In the former hayloft, where a wall of display cases has been installed, we can see a wide range of unusual objects, as well as models of very old buildings, including the Gallo-Roman Villa, etc.

The presentation of the tools of the various local trades of yesteryear will help you to understand how they were used, and also to discover their names.
