Musée des Blindés de Saumur

In Saumur, discover the Musée des Blindés and its unique collection of armoured vehicles, military vehicles from the First and Second World Wars to the present day. 250 models are on display, including French, German, British, American and Russian armoured vehicles, some of which are still in working order and even star in films!

Throughout the 12 exhibition rooms, discover an incredible presentation accompanied by frescoes, explanatory panels, mannequins in period costumes and numerous accessories and weapons of war. Even famous men are represented in life-size with their biographies (De Gaulle, De Lattre de Tassigny to name but the most famous). It's a history lesson that everyone can enjoy, and one that's sure to stir the emotions.
