It all begins with the land… We are situated on the Razal plateau, a landscape shaped by time and the wind. A rugged yet bountiful Ardèche plateau overlooking the valley. A place of passage, of exchange, of life — both yesterday and today. ‘Aux Plateaux du Razal’ also reflects the way we welcome you. A simple, friendly self-service restaurant where everyone can put together their own meal freely, at their own pace. But above all, ‘Aux Plateaux du Razal’ is about cuisine rooted in its local area. Because this plateau would be nothing without those who bring it to life, we have chosen to work with local producers who grow, rear and process their produce right here in our neighbourhood. Their expertise nourishes our cuisine just as their commitment nourishes the local area. When you come to eat at Aux Plateaux du Razal, you’re not just having lunch; you’re savouring a place, a landscape and a local history that continues to unfold, plate by plate.

Local, seasonal cuisine:
In our kitchen, we have made the simple choice to work with fresh produce, prioritising local sources. 70 per cent of the produce we use comes from local producers, situated within 60 km of here. These are partners we know personally and who share our commitment to quality and respect for the produce. We are also ‘Goûtez l’Ardèche’ certified: this commitment guarantees that labelled recipes are made with at least 80 per cent local produce. Working in this way gives meaning to every dish, offering you authentic cuisine deeply rooted in its local area.

Designed as a welcoming space, La Pause Sapiens is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, have a chat and enjoy a moment of relaxation before continuing your adventure. A nod to our nomadic origins – those who knew how to stop for a while so they could set off again with renewed energy!
