In 2005, Bernard Boesch died and bequeathed his villa "Les Tamarins", located at Pointe de Penchâteau in Le Pouliguen, to the town of La Baule-Escoublac.
In accordance with the donor's wishes, the Musée Bernard Boesch promotes contemporary artistic creation and ensures the continuity of his work.
The museum also has an independent artists' residency, welcoming artists for three-month sessions.
