Ideally situated in the canyon of Le Sautet, since 1935 the dam has enabled the annual generation of 175 million kWh with a maximum output of 76,000 W.It regulates the flow of the Drac, allowing touristic and water-based activities (fishing, bathing, canoeing, zip line and via ferrata, among others) amidst the fertile farmlands of the Drac valley which has been nicknamed "little Paradise" or "little Nice".
