The oldest document mentioning the church dates from 27 January 1421, attesting to the site's age. The choir, as it stands today, was built in 1768.
When the church was rebuilt in 1874, two neo-Gothic bays were added to the single nave, changing the initial appearance of the building and illustrating the architectural evolution of the monument in the 19th century.
The sacristy houses two reliquaries, as well as the statues of the Virgin Mary and Saint Sebastian, patron saint of archers, both of which are remarkable elements of the local religious heritage.
