RUINES DU MANOIR DE LA TURMELIERE

This old fortress in ruins today, was the birth place of the famous poet Joachim Du Bellay ( 1522-1560 ). The house was largely destroyed during the Vendée wars but later retained to complement the spirit in a romantic park of the property.
