PONT SAINT GEORGES
Description
A major asset to tourism in Nort sur Erdre, the river Erdre represented an obstacle to the crossing of the town for a long time. The bridge connecting the Saint Georges neighbourhood to the town of Nort sur Erdre was only finished in 1774.
The construction work started in 1753, and it took more than 20 years to complete it. It is 218 meters long, and it was comprised of 6 arches.
