Le Zagaya, an institution in Pornic!

The first walls of the establishment rose from the ground in 1949. Pastries and lollies delighted children at beach snacks, and later a bar opened, offering refreshments and ice creams. Then came shellfish tastings, and the bar became a proper restaurant in 1980.

A native of the region, with solid training at the Abbaye de Villeneuve and a 10-year career in Parisian restaurants and brasseries, the idea of returning to the Côte de Jade attracted Hervé, who has been the chef at Le Zagaya since 2008. Together with his wife Zita, they fell in love with this magical place, facing the sea and with their feet in the sand... 🌅
Since then, the links they have forged with local and regional producers have enabled them to offer you fresh produce, worked with passion to share their taste for good living, while preserving a friendly atmosphere.
