Église Saint-Côme et Saint-Damien

Description

Although the current church dates back to the early 19th century, the first trace of a religious building dates back to the 12th century, when monks from the Abbey of Clairac returned from Syria to plant plums on our land, and build the "Sancti Damiani de Grangia" chapel. Today, the church holds many secrets: the bell, which you can see from the outside, was stolen from a barge during the French Revolution, and the sumptuous altar within its walls was donated by Louis XIII himself! Lift the veil on the mysteries of this singular church in Granges-sur-Lot!
