Refuge du Carrelet

Guarded and accessible only via high mountain passes
The refuge was built in the former alpine hamlet of Plat du Carlez, a quiet, verdant meadow at the crossroads of the Vénéon valley and the Chardon valley. It's an ideal spot from which to admire the Ailefroide and the Rouies, emblematic peaks of the Ecrins.
Whether you're passing through during the day to sample our freshly-made pasta and drink a homemade vitamin juice, or staying in one of our 8 to 2-person rooms, the Carrelet refuge is ideal for a 100% nature break under the benevolent eye of the peaks. Families and mountaineers welcome!
