On the enchanting site of Lac de la grande Léchère, the shelter welcomes you for a snack, a meal or a night ..
In winter: Departure from Saint françois Longchamp 2h30 in snowshoeing or ski touring, other departure from the hamlet the Mollaret to Montgellfrey 1 hour of rando.
In summer: Departure of multiple itineraries and hiking trails for all levels.Take a moment to come and test our orientation courses (free).
Restoration house with fresh products. 2 hours walk from Saint François Longchamp (Replat) or 5 minutes from the car park of the refuge.
The Refuge sleeps up to 34 guests in 6 bedrooms and and dormitories from 4 to 8 beds.

Location complements
Motorway access: A43, exit 26 "La Chambre" follow the roadsign Col de la Madeleine then Montgellafrey village. (BE CAREFUL the Col de la Madeleine is closed in winter and the road between the village Montgellafrey and Saint-François Longchamp. Special equipment are required in case of snow). Train Station access : Train station "Saint-Avre / La Chambre". Airport access: Lyon, Chambery, Grenoble, Geneva.

Quilts are provided but you must proved a sleeping bag liner, which may be hired on site.
