Description

Au milieu du 19ème siècle, les responsables de la santé à Paris firent construire plusieurs aqueducs, dont celui de la Dhuys, pour alimenter Paris en eau potable. Depuis le département de l’Aisne jusqu’au réservoir de Ménilmontant, elle parcourt 130 km. L’aqueduc franchit le petit Morin à Courcelles par un bel ouvrage en pierre meulière datant de 1865. La circulation de l’eau se fait par pente naturelle et utilise l’effet « siphon » pour traverser les vallées. Elle a un débit de 230 litres/seconde. Aujourd'hui, elle dessert principalement Disneyland Paris.
