His new production, Amglo ou la vie de Narcisse Pelletier, with music by François Marillier, gives life and voice to a child who, curious to discover a world populated in the 19th century by legends and chimeras, decided to embark on a ship. The child was abandoned in Australia. Now an aborigine named Amglo, he found a family and a chosen land there. But his compatriots were determined to repatriate the little "savage". Tattooed, scarred and exiled, he found himself in France, unable to dance in any way other than the rituals of his Australian family. Exhibited at fairs, he is forever landless and unattached.

Childhood, abandonment and the instinct to survive are all themes with which the author and director identified when confronted with this brother of solitude and melancholy. He takes us on a journey of discovery, based on a wealth of documentation, to accompany him to the shore of a collective memory.
