The house of architect Paul Jaspar was built in 1896. The décor is again clearly marked by references to historical styles, in particular the Renaissance: the triangular pediment, dormers, glazing with symmetrical patterns on the oriel window, etc. The facing combining red brick and calcareous stone is also a reference to the tradition of 17th century Mosan architecture, a frequent trait of the architect’s work, as we have already seen with the house of dentist Mr. Oury. The sgraffito decorated with an angel holding a plumb line at the top of a column is an allegory of architecture, also indicated in Greek lettering in the phylactery at his feet.
