Amateur astronomers from Auvergne invite you to their observatory in La Garandie, at the foot of Puy de la Combegrasse, for the 33rd edition of the Nuits des Etoiles.
We invite you to come and gaze at the starry sky; our passionate volunteers will be delighted to help you discover the breathtaking dance of the stars, planets, and the moon throughout the evening and into the night. See the planets, the Milky Way, and nebulae as you’ve never seen them before—witnesses to the birth and death of stars...
• Open to all ages, at nightfall
• Free, reservations required starting July 15
• 9:00 p.m. to midnight or 1:00 a.m.
• Parking available along the RD983; access to the observatory is on foot.
> Be sure to bring gear suitable for nighttime mountain weather: warm clothing, blankets, long pants, a hat, etc.
> Please turn off your flashlights and phone lights near the observation areas.
