The "Little Venice of Bresse" hides many treasures: the château, its park, its bridges, the château pavilion, the Maison du guetteur, the Maison de Savoie, the church, the apothecary, the farm passoir, the clock tower ....
Pont-de-Veyle has a rich past and has preserved many traces of it. The château, former provost's residence of the Compagnons du Devoir du Tour de France; its park, planted with trees from all over the world, offers pleasant walks along the Veyle and its 8 original bridges (suspension bridge, waterfall bridge, three-branch bridge...).
The clock tower, the only vestige of the medieval town's ramparts. The half-timbered Maison du Guetteur, the 15th-century Maison de Savoie. The 18th-century church, the apothecary and its 18th-century Lyon earthenware pots. As well as washhouses and bridges....
