Uza is a beautiful little village that has something of the appearance of those great airials of old, with vast unfenced spaces and a horizon shrouded by oaks and weeping willows. Uza was famous in the 19th century for its ironworks. At that time, iron was extracted from stones called "garluche", which were made by cementing sand and gravel with iron. Unfortunately, not much remains of these forges, and these ruins cannot be visited. What remains is the lake of the forges, unperturbed in its rest.
