Exit the Crécy-la-Chapelle railway station and turn right. At the crossroads facing the belfry, follow the promenade bordering the brook on the left. At the end, turn left onto Rue de la Chapelle and climb up to the traffic light. At the intersection with the D934 secondary road, continue directly opposite along Chemin de Saint-Fiacre (zone 30 dead end). Shift down and pedal out of the saddle to tackle the next 300 (very steep) metres! At the top, catch your breath and follow the grassy path going left. Enjoy the hard-earned yet magnificent view of the entire valley! Bike along the meadows, turn right and continue climbing along Chemin des Chanterennes. Turn left at the next stop sign, then take the second right onto Rue Tirechappe. In front of the one-way road, turn left onto Rue de Bias, then right onto Rue Charles Dullin. Continue along the rather wide tractor track that bears left along an orchard. You enter Brie’s vast agricultural plain.
