St. Gerbold's church dates partly from the Middle Ages. Its façade dates from the 18th century. It has an altarpiece dating from 1666, featuring a Presentation to the Temple and two statues (Virgin and Child and Saint Stephen), as well as a 16th-century statue of Saint-Gerbold, after whom the church is named.
Saint-Gerbold was the eleventh bishop of Bayeux, and lived at the end of the 7th century. His life is shrouded in legend. He was considered the great healer of intestinal ailments.
