The chapel dates back to the 12th and 13th centuries. It is dedicated to Saint Ortaire, a popular healer in Normandy in the 6th century, dealing with ailments linked to rheumatism and skin diseases.
The building was listed as a historic monument on June 21, 1927. The structure is built of Caen stone. The side door features diamond-shaped chevrons. A canonical sundial can be found on the south wall of the chapel.
