Carrières d'Étavaux

Dedicated to the mining of pink feldspathic sandstone, the Étavaux quarry extends over 38 hectares along the Orne river, including 31.29 hectares authorized for development.

It comprises two excavations, the one in the south-eastern part of the site being partly under water. Mining is carried out on three levels to the northwest, with crushing equipment linking the two excavations. To the east, overlooking the quarry, is a prefabrication unit for concrete blocks.
