It is dedicated to Saint André, an apostle who is said to have been crucified on an X-shaped cross, hence the presence of this symbol on the church façade. As with most churches built in the post-war period, the shape of the building deviates from traditional forms (as was the case for Saint-Julien).
The free-standing bell tower is inspired by certain Italian campaniles, a form found in many churches built during the Reconstruction period.
The benches were designed by M.Poulain, a local resident and teacher at Lycée Laplace.
The church is equipped with an organ created by organ builder François Dupont, specially designed for Baroque aesthetics (Johann Sebastian Bach, for example).
