LA ROUTE DU SEL

All year round, La Route du Sel offers guided trips by canoe, bike or on foot to discover the Breton Marshes of the Vendée in a gentle and authentic way.

From Sallertaine, Bois-de-Céné, Saint-Urbain or Machecoul, visitors can explore an area shaped by man and nature: ancient islands, marshes, canals, marsh fauna and flora, and local heritage.

La Route du Sel has been specialising in nature tourism in the Vendée for over 40 years, and offers families, groups and businesses a range of options to suit all tastes: nature walks, guided tours, themed outings or unusual experiences such as an evening canoe trip with a candlelit dinner in the marshes.

The walks are led by qualified guides. La Route du Sel has been awarded the "Qualité Tourisme" and "Accueil Vélo" labels, and is committed to responsible tourism.

All tours are available on reservation, with departures all year round from Sallertaine.
