Flore: La Cembrais du Bois des Ayes
Description
Le Bois des Ayes constitue un ensemble d'habitats remarquables, avec en particulier une foret de pins Cembro renfermant des arbres âgés de 400 à 600 ans, parmi les plus belles des Alpes françaises.Dans la partie inférieure du bois le pin cembro (ou Arolle), se mélange avec le mélèze, tandis qu'en altitude, le pin cembro est plus abondant, et forme au-dessus de 2100 mètres une cembraie pure.
