Between the Marne and farmland, the Forêt régionale des Vallières grows on the underground galleries of former gypsum quarries.
Perched on a hillside, this forest overlooks the regional leisure island of Jablines-Annet (77) and is home to remarkable biodiversity.
Because of its ornithological interest, the Forêt régionale des Vallières is fully included in the Natura 2000 site “Les boucles de la Marne”, under the Birds Directive. It is also a refuge for many species of bat.
The site is managed by Île-de-France nature, which organizes themed nature events throughout the year.
Free of charge.
