Laundries of Septfonds

The lavoirs had the function of being a privileged social place: they were a meeting place for women in the 19th century and were a place of work for the laundry.
In Septfonds, you will find several washhouses:
1) At the entrance to the hamlet of Alliguières.
2) Chemin de Millières, near the Daudou stream.
3) Hameau de Lalande - At the bottom of a path opposite the Judes Camp Memorial
4) Near the cemetery, place du 19 mars 1962: fed by the city water. Curbstones in beautiful "Septfonds" limestone.
