Arthur Rimbaud's House - "House of Elsewhere"
Description
The Maison des Ailleurs, which has been awarded the Maison des Illustres label by the French Ministry of Culture, is an extension of the visit to the Arthur Rimbaud Museum.
Vitalie Rimbaud and her children moved into this house, which consisted of three flats, in 1869. For six years, until 1875, she lived on the first floor.
The young Arthur lived within these walls from the age of 15 to 21, during a period of intense poetic creation. It was undoubtedly here that some of his world-famous poems were written.

Between 1st October and 30th April: Open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 5.30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Closed on Mondays 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
