Former hardware factory

The Manufacture d'Accessoires de Réseaux Souterrains set up in 1920 in the former Wintemberger factory, dedicated to ironmongery and hardware. The premises, which have since been extensively remodelled, now house the Nexans cable factory. The production buildings, made of iron panelling and rendered brick, include a large workshop with a tin roof and rubble stone base, probably the remains of an earlier structure. The adjacent shed roofs are of mechanical tile, with metal framework. An electric transformer, in brick with projecting quoins, lines the street. The old offices, burnt down in 1978, have been replaced by modern buildings.
