At the end of the 19th century, Bosshard founded an electrical equipment factory at Le Moulinet, which was moved to its current location before 1910. In 1913, the Poirier brothers took over the business under the name Bosshard, Poirier Frères et Cie. The factory was looted in 1915, and a restoration was carried out in 1920.
The company diversified its activities to produce and repair generators, electric motors, alternators, transformers and lifting equipment. After production ceased (date unknown), the site was taken over by the Automobile Club des Ardennes, then by the Baudoin garage.
Around 1900, around 10 workers were employed here. Located near a railway line, the factory comprised a main brick building with a metal roof, offices and accommodation upstairs. Behind this was the workshop, and to the west were two warehouses.
