Description
Discover the National Necropolis of Chestres. Located at an altitude of 114 metres, the site offers you a panoramic view of the valley. The site is divided into two distinct cemeteries: the German cemetery on the one hand, and the French necropolis, each with its own entrance. The necropolis is multinational in character, bringing together French soldiers, Czechoslovakian legionnaires, Russian military and civilians, Belgian deported soldiers and Commonwealth airmen.
