Description

On 13th June 1944, when the Second World War was entering its final phase, 106 Manises Resistance Fighters, mostly young civilians from Revin and the surrounding area who refused to do forced labour in Germany during the Second World War, were massacred by the SS on the hills of "Le Malgré Tout", at a place called "Le Père des Chênes".

Every year on 13th June, local people and personalities gather around the Resistance Fighters Roadside Cross in the clearing of "Le Père des Chênes" for a memorial service, then take the path to Revin, stopping off for the laying of a spray of flowers at the foot of the Manises Resistance Fighters Memorial on the slopes of "Le Malgré-Tout"
