



The Sedan-Charleville is the oldest city-to-city foot race in France, with a popular feel, a warm atmosphere and a sympathetic, encouraging crowd. It was first run in 1906 and is 24.6 kilometres long. As well as the enthusiastic spectators, the race is accompanied by live music. The number of participants regularly exceeds 3,000.
The start is in Sedan, and as the riders leave the town they discover the plains of the Ardennes. The route, with its climbs and false flats, is close to the Meuse. Many villages in the Ardenne Métropole region are crossed: Dom-Le-Mesnil , Flize , Elaire... then it enters the historic centre of Charleville, covering several kilometres of the city.
