Ardenne Nature Discovery

The themed walks offered by Patrice are a real discovery of the Heritage of the Ardennes: the forest and the strength of this wild nature, the encounters with characters and legends which have shaped the Ardennes, but also its generous and authentic gastronomy .
Patrice proposes you to spend a moment of exchange, conviviality and discovery of the Ardennes.
Walking in the Mosan valley : Find the charm of small Mosan villages, situated in the meanders of the Meuse where you will meet the last ferryman of the Ardennes.You will visit a home-made brewery.

Heritage and gastronomy: This day walking will take you to the discovery of archaeological sites of the third century, a collegiate church which according to the legend shelters the remains of Pepin the Short and the Renaissance castle of Hierges which was the cause of the war between Charles V and François 1st.
At noon, we will share an authentic and typical dish from the Ardennes: cacasse to the bare bottom. More information here
Jaunt with Rimbaud: Rimbaud was born in Charleville-Mezieres, but his adolescence was marked by its several fugues, especially in the valley of the Meuse. Patrice accompanies you in the footsteps of the famous French poet, who influenced many generations.
At noon, we will share a dish from the Ardenne(local cured) in the village of Hargnies, the only village with five butchers. Departure time : according to your choice and your availability -more information here

Jaunt to Givet:
During this jaunt, you will discover the "Mont d'Haurs" where a magnificent panorama awaits you over the town of Givet and its surroundings. Patrice will tell you the history of Givet and its military past.
