In this place the ruins of an old house are preserved. It’s been abandoned since immemorial time, but the importance of these ruins are in the finding of a medieval document that mentions the existence of a chapel in this area.
In 2012 an archaeological excavation was carried out, uncovering a lot of medieval pottery. San Salvador is placed at a higher point than “Pena dos Mouros”, where people say - “from here it goes a tunnel that crosses underneath the river, Moorish women used to walk through it to hang their clothes on the other side of the river”.
