Description

In Victot-en-Auge, on the Cider Route between Beuvron-en-Auge and Cambremer, Calvados Dupont showcases the Pays d’Auge at its most indulgent and down-to-earth. Here, the Dupont family has been running the estate for four generations. Spanning 50 hectares, including 35 of organic cider apple orchards, the setting immediately sets the tone: apple trees, a true Pays d’Auge terroir, and that feeling of stepping into a place where flavour is crafted with dedication without losing sight of the pleasure. The marl and limestone soils, which yield modest harvests but are rich in character, give the fruit a wonderful aromatic intensity. The result is a range of ciders that embraces both tradition and a touch of innovation.

The guided tour gets straight to the heart of the matter. We follow the fruit’s journey from orchard to glass, taking in the orchards, the press, the cider fermentation cellar, the distillery and the cellars. It’s tangible, vivid, almost tactile. You gain a better understanding of what gives a cider its personality, the roundness of a pommeau or the depth of a calvados when you see the premises, the processes and the raw materials. The tasting session that follows the tour allows you to put flavours to what you have just seen. This place appeals just as much to those curious about culinary heritage as it does to lovers of Normandy’s traditional craftsmanship, to passing visitors as well as to those who enjoy understanding what lies behind a distinctive product.

Calvados Dupont is more than just a cellar to visit. The estate also offers activities that bring the experience to life, such as gourmet walks, cocktail workshops and musical aperitifs. An on-site shop allows you to extend your exploration, and the welcome caters equally well to individual visitors and groups, with tours available in French and English. Combining orchard culture, cellar work and the art of tasting, this venue offers a truly Pays d’Auge experience: genuine, generous and deeply rooted in the local landscape. It’s a place worth discovering to get to know Normandy through its apples, its terroir and, above all, its flavours.
