Plan de Rome

Within the buildings of Caen University and just a stone’s throw from the castle, the Plan of Rome is a unique 70m2 scale model, produced by the Norman architect Paul Bigot from 1900 to 1940. A listed historic monument, it offers a representation of Ancient Rome in the 4th century, under the Emperor Constantine the Great and is forms the basis of a virtual reproduction of the city.
