After retraining in jewellery at the Ecole Boulle, Barbara moved to the Ile d'Yeu and created Mr Pépite (pronounced Mister Pépite).
Her aim is to use light and materials to create precious, playful and poetic jewellery.
A piece of jewellery that plays on symbols, that we make our own and that always has meaning.
What's more, some pieces can be personalised.
Metalwork: silver, gold vermeil or gold-plated brass.
Precious and semi-precious stones can be added to the pieces as required, or simply placed on a wire.
Barbara has recently started working with glass using a blowtorch, and has also taken up stained glass to incorporate new skills into her creations.
Her jewellery has expanded to include decorative pieces, combining metal, glass and wool with the tufting technique.
Where can you find Mr Pépite's creations? You'll find his work at the Fabrique in the rue des Usines (near the Super U roundabout).
At the Saint Sauveur market in July/August.
At the island's Christmas markets (Port Joinville, St Sauveur, and supermarkets). His creations are on display at the workshop at 56 rue Saint Amand, by appointment only.
