The antique city of Lugdunum is more than 2000 years old... the Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges site is something to discover by seeing the various monuments coming from various historical periods.
Created in the 1st century BC, the capital of Aquitaine Lugdunum Convenae occupied an area of 36 ha for a population estimated between 10,000 and 15,000 inhabitants. The oldest remains found on the site date back to the Emperor Augustus (27 BC; 14).
Only a part of the ancient heritage is visible today, such as the thermal baths, the market or the theater.
