With its 3 surfaces blocks (all visitable), 2 of which are combat blocks, this infantry fort was the guardian of the Rohrbach plateau.
Buried under 25 metres of limestone, you can discover a veritable small village with all the equipment necessary to cater for 173 men posted in this fort.
A two hour guided tour will take you via the barracks to the ammunition chamber, to the combat blocks where you can assist in manoeuvring the 135 ton turret.
You will be able to put yourself in the shoes of these concrete soldiers and imagine what it must have been like during the mobilisation leading up to the fighting in 1940 and the signing of the Armistice.
