Gisement du Moustier
Description
Reservations required. Information available at the reservation service of the ‘Font de Gaume’ cave. The archaeological deposits of ‘La Ferrassie’, ‘La Micoque’, and ‘Le Moustier’, with their complementary stratigraphy, offer a good outline of nearly 400,000 years of human occupation in the Périgord. ‘L’Abri du Poisson’ features one of the oldest representations of fish known in the world, in bas-relief.
