Description
Elle prend sa source sur le Plateau de Millevaches et alimente le lac de Vassivière. Son eau particulièrement limpide est propice au développement des herbiers de callitriches. Avec un peu d'attention vous pouvez observer le cincle plongeur qui vole très rapidement au ras de l'eau. Cet oiseau de la taille d'un merle se nourrit d'insectes qu'il va chercher dans l'eau sous les pierres.
