Synagogue of luneville

Built in 1785 with autorisation from Louis XVI, it was the first synagogue to be built in the kingdom since the 13th century.
The architect Piroux combined classical greek and baroque art and turned those two styles into an artistic and original monument.
Listed on the register of historic buildings (in 1980), it was the first in France to be able to boast being operative over two centuries.
