La saline

Einville is located on the Sânon salt basin, next to that of the Seille and Meurthe rivers. The industrial exploitation of salt began in Einville in the middle of the 19th century and two salt works were set up there. For more than a century, the life of Einville has been confused with the technical and social evolution of these two companies. Even today, a company still produces salt the old-fashioned way, treating it in evaporators and marketing fine salt.
