Saint- jacques church

King Leszczynski of Poland’s personal taste can be seen in St Jacques Church, built between 1730 and 1747 ; he financed its completion when he became Duke of Lorraine. Under his influence the architect, Emmanuel Héré, looked to Polish baroque churches for inspiration. In collaboration with the organ builder, Nicolas Dupont, he also built the only known organ with concealed pipes in Europe.
