The Mont Ventoux

Description

The Mont Ventoux rises to 1,911m. It is about 25km long and 15km wide. It is the highest peak of Vaucluse. It is commonly known as the Giant of Provence or Bald Mountain. Geographically isolated, it is visible over long distances. Its mainly limestone composition is responsible for its white color. With its many characteristics, Mont Ventoux is an important symbol of Provence.
