Built in 1853, the Saint-Genest of Raphèle-lès-Arles church was the last material trace of what represented the presence of the influential Compagnie des Pénitents Blancs (Confraternity of White Penitents) of the city of Arles. The bell comes from the same confraternity and bears the words "Baudoin, founder in Marseille, 1819". The church was completed in 1853 and is intended to be used in compliance with its original use as a place of worship. It will also host cultural events as it is the case now for concerts, 5 or 6 times a year.
