With its striking renaissance-like façade, the Barbegal castle is, in the 18th century, the former property of the family of Laurens de Beaujeu. The last member of the Laurens de Beaujeu family left his estate to the Du Roures, his mother's family. From that point on, the Du Roures were the owners of the Barbegal domain, they "dressed" the Provençal farmhouse as a castle, which dominates today a park of more than 5 hectares, shaded by majestic ancient trees.
