Protestant cemetery - 17th and 19th centuries.
Private graves of Protestant families can be found all around Pellegrue. These predate the French Revolution, as Protestants were not allowed to be buried in the Catholic cemetery under the Ancien Régime. In Pellegrue, a Protestant cemetery and temple have existed since the spread of the Reformation in the region. Located south of the presbytery on the plain, they were destroyed when the Edict of Nantes was revoked in 1685.
